Supply Chain Improvements
MCL works in what it describes the extended supply chain. This means not only the traditional areas such as import/ export and logistics, but also the early stages in the retail process that are also an intrinsic part of the supply chain.
This includes areas such as technical garment design, product development and early collaboration between manufacturers and retailers on range development.
We can look at your entire extended supply chain, or just part of it, to assess whether or not it's delivering your business objectives. TO achieve improvements, we will typically map out the flow of information through your supply chain to make sure complete visibility is achieved at the desired levels.
In the later supply chain, we've delivered a range of improvements and efficiencies for our clients. These have included:
- KPI modeling at various levels of supply chain to evaluate the efficiency of the supply chain structure
- Advice on Customs requirements for Imports, Exports, Bonded Warehousing and Inward Processing Relief (IPR)
- An Export Documents System to generate reports and documents required for exportation to various countries
- Container management programme at the origin and distribution centre to achieve quick intakes and other cost benefits
- Process efficiencies for garment manufacturers, eg. to plan assembly line production.
- Evaluation of each segment of a supply chain to identify potential trade-offs and cost saving opportunities
