Working with a software partner, MCL developed its own solution (Supplier Collaborator) for running audit programmes for ethical and (garment) technical compliance, and for supply chain mapping.

This was used by fashion retailers in order for them to move away from cumbersome spreadsheets and to be able to report on ethical and technical issues identified in factory-specific Action Plans. It enabled them to keep their teams small despite increasing levels of work and meant that they were able to focus on delivering improvements to the business rather than being swamped with unusable data buried in a mountain of spreadsheets.

Since then MCL has designed other solutions to capture data related to ethical trading and sustainability within supply chains.
